Esther Lafourcade

Account Supervisor

Hailing from the cultural melting pot of Los Angeles, Esther's background is a tapestry woven with French, Belgian, and Moroccan roots, nurtured through her upbringing in France. Her identity as a third-culture kid, coupled with her globally dispersed family, kindled a deep-seated fascination for travel and exploration. This, coupled with her genuine affinity for people, drew her to pursue a B.A. in Anthropology with a minor in History from UCLA providing her with the academic foundation to excel at exploring the intricate fabric of human experiences.

Esther is a dynamic storyteller with a passion for crafting compelling narratives that captivate audiences. She first embarked on her professional path in the vibrant landscape of New York City, where she gained exposure across diverse industries ranging from fashion and lifestyle to technology and entertainment before diving head-first into the luxury travel & hospitality sector. Over the course of her career in luxury travel PR, she has closely shaped and led award-winning campaigns for a roster of esteemed hotel & resort properties including The Brando, Robertson Lodges, Silversands Grenada, Safrans du Monde, and Bushtops Safari Camps.

Joining Modern Currency PR in Fall 2023, Esther is poised to continue her journey of evocative storytelling, seamlessly blending her multifaceted expertise with the ethos of her new endeavor. Esther collaborates closely with the senior-led team at the agency to develop strong narratives and campaigns for clients including Castle Hot Springs, JSX, Hotel Figueroa, VOMO Island Fiji, and more.

When she isn't storytelling or traversing new horizons, Esther delves into the essence of 'connection' through dissecting literature and cinema, experimenting in the kitchen, immersing herself in live musical experiences, communing with nature, or finding solace in her spiritual practice. Above all else, she approaches life with an insatiable curiosity and a natural zest for learning.
