An old soul with a young heart, and a self-professed “citizen of the world,” agency president and chief strategist Meghan Patke’s love of travel, adventure, and exploring the farthest corners of the globe began at a young age, globe-trotting with her family to far-flung locales and experiencing new cultures, cuisines, and ways of thinking that have shaped her sense of self, work ethic, drive, & passion for life.

Honored as a PR News ‘Industry Innovator’, Meghan Patke opened the venerable luxury travel & hospitality PR agency, Modern Currency PR in 2017, where she leads a dynamic team of seasoned PR professionals, setting the industry standard with quick-witted—and fast-paced—hospitality PR & marketing campaigns that yield high-impact and sustained results for clients across the industry.

Specializing in boutique hotel properties, luxury destinations & resorts, iconic lifestyle brands, renowned culinary personalities & future-making travel and aviation visionaries, Meghan excels at media relations with over two decades of PR experience under her belt. Conceptualizing out-of-the-box campaigns, Meghan plays an active role in overarching campaign strategy, pitching clients across the agency, driving award-winning results for the agency’s illustrious roster of clients including revolutionary air carrier, JSX, Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea, Castle Hot Springs, Hotel Figueroa, Few & Far, and more.

In her tenure in PR, she has orchestrated Hello Kitty’s 35th birthday; hosted the U.S.’s first-ever Thai Food Festival at the historic Paramount Studios lot; soared to new heights with the world’s largest airline; advocated tirelessly for sustainability and piloting the successful launch of the West Coast and South Pacific’s first-ever Dock to Dish programs; and been fortunate enough to experience some of the world’s most transcendent meals with luminary chefs such as Michael Cimarusti, Massimo Bottura, David Myers, Niki Nakayama, and Jet Tila.

With a decade of luxury travel, hospitality, culinary & lifestyle PR experience under her belt, Jordan joined the Modern Currency team in 2020 where she quickly grew her skillset & capabilities, taking a nimble, strategic & scrappy approach to generating Tier-1 results across the agency’s various client campaigns. 

Jordan leverages her background in corporate brands, culinary & travel to develop creative partnerships that intersect industries and drive new visibility, curating award-winning campaigns & strategies for MCPR’s global client roster, including revolutionary hop-on jet service, JSX, luxury five-star Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea, Fiji’s Wakaya Private Island Resort, Hotel Bel-Air, Hollywood’s multi-concept private members club & boutique hotel, The Aster, Newport Beach’s five-star, five-diamond, The Resort at Pelican Hill, Netflix’s High on The Hog docuseries & more.

With over a decade of public relations agency experience under her belt, Claire brings her passion for strategic development with her appreciation for relationship-building to the Modern Currency PR team, leading a number of dynamic campaigns, spanning The Sanctuary Beach Resort, Castle Hot Springs, Hotel Figueroa, Casetta Group, and Few & Far.

With a knack for maintaining a pulse on industry trends, Claire develops award-winning strategies to effectively position clients in front of key target audiences via earned media coverage, resulting in prominent coverage within The Wall Street Journal, Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, Robb Report, AFAR, FT How to Spend It, Town & Country, Architectural Digest, The Hollywood Reporter and more.

Bailey Athan

ACCOUNT SUPERVISOR

After following her dreams of pursuing a career in travel and hospitality, Bailey joined the MCPR team in 2022, quickly growing into her senior role as the agency’s Account Supervisor where she brings her high level of creativity and public relations skills to support marquee client campaigns such as revolutionary hop-on air carrier, JSX, Newport Beach’s 5-diamond The Resort at Pelican Hill, Santa Monica’s historic Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows, and L.A.’s acclaimed Michelin-star restaurant, Providence. From ideating pop-culture-inspired partnerships to actively liaising with top-tier media, Bailey actively moves the needle forward when it comes to communicating distinctive stories effectively and pushing client campaigns toward their goals.

DIGITAL MARKETING MANAGER

As MCPR's Digital Marketing Manager overseeing the agency's Digital Studio Division, Kim brings her extensive background in travel and culinary with a focus on the luxury space, driving successful campaigns & strategies for notable brands including Four Seasons Resort Maui, The Resort at Pelican Hill, Hotel Figueroa, Connie & Ted's, L.A.'s acclaimed two Michelin-starred restaurant, Providence, and more. From content development, quippy captions, BTS photoshoot coordinator, securing visibility-driving influencer & social media editor partnerships, and all things design — Kim is the agency's aesthetic ace.
